Carlo Lorenzini’s mother, was born In Collodi, and the author of Pinocchio, one of the best-selling books in the world after the Bible and the Koran, adopted the pseoudonimo of Collodi in the signing of “The Adventures of Pinocchio”. The book is a masterpiece without doubt without limits of space and time.The Park of Collodi retains the character of the fairy story. It was made during last 30 years and ended in 1987, is not a real amusement park, but a fantastic place. And it’s the fruit of the collective creation of artists of great personality, where the feeling is just to be living in a fairy and fun place enjoying the quiet beauty of art and nature. In 1956 he had been inaugurated the bronze sculptures of Pinocchio and Greek and the Square of Mosaics Venturi.
